Every roofing company will tell you they do great work. The problem is that from the ground, a rushed roof and a properly built one look almost identical, for a few years. Then the difference shows up: a leak at a valley, a chimney flashing that lets go, a deck that rots because the attic couldn’t breathe. The Aulneau Standard is our answer to that. Here is what it actually means.
We install a system, not just shingles
A roof is only as strong as the layers beneath the shingles. On every job we install proper underlayment, ice and water shield at the eaves, valleys, and penetrations, and we address ventilation. Shingles are the part you see, but the system is what keeps you dry.
Flashing done right
Most roof leaks don’t start in the field of the shingles. They start at the transitions: chimneys, walls, skylights, and valleys. We take the time to flash these correctly, with the right materials and the right overlap, instead of relying on a bead of caulk that fails in a few winters.
Crew training that never stops
Techniques, materials, and code change. Our crews are trained on how we want details done, and we don’t consider training something you finish. A well-trained crew is the single biggest factor in whether a roof lasts 25 years or 15.
Quality control on the job
We check the work as it goes, not just at the end. Nail placement, flashing laps, ventilation, and clean-up all get eyes on them. Catching a problem while the roof is open is easy. Catching it after a leak is expensive.
A final inspection on every roof
Before we call a job done, it gets a final inspection and a magnetic nail sweep of your property. You get a roof that was checked, and a yard that looks like we were never there.
Why it matters to you
The Aulneau Standard isn’t a slogan, it is the reason our roofs hold up and our customers refer us. It costs a little more attention and a little more time, and it saves you from the leaks, callbacks, and premature failures that come from cutting corners.
